Resep Ayam Goreng Mentega / Sweet Butter Chicken Recipe

Chicken. Who doesn't love it? Easy to cook and affordable. Healthy and low on fat. This recipe today is one of the recipe I've been cooking since I was in high school. One of the recipe that I experimented again and again, until I get the perfect taste of it. Give it a try, you'll like it! Enjoy cooking.

Ayam Goreng Mentega
Sweet Butter Chicken

Bahan (Ingredients) :
#200 gr dada ayam (200 gr chicken breast)
#1 jeruk nipis besar atau lemon (1 lime or lemon)
#2 sendok makan mentega (2 tbsp butter)
#1 bawang bombay (1 yellow onion)
#2 sendok makan kecap manis (2 tbsp sweet soya sauce)
#garam dan merica (salt and white pepper)
#minyak goreng secukupnya (oil for frying)

Persiapan (Preparation) :
*Potong-potong dadu dada ayam (Cut the chicken breast into square pieces)
*Peras 1/2 jeruk nipis dan campurkan dengan dada ayam, biarkan meresap 15 menit (Squeeze 1/2 of the lime, mix with the chicken, and let it marinated for 15 mins)
*Tiriskan (Dry the chicken)
*Goreng setengah matang (Fry until the chicken is half done)
*Sisihkan (Put aside)

Cara memasak (Directions) :
*Iris-iris bawang bombay (Slice the yellow onion)
*Panaskan mentega hingga meleleh (Melt the butter)
*Masukkan bawang bombay, masak hingga harum (Throw in yellow onion, cook until it's fragrance)
*Masukkan ayam yang sudah digoreng setengah matang (Add the half-cooked chicken)
*Masukkan kecap manis, aduk rata (Add sweet soya sauce, mix well)
*Bumbui dengan garam dan merica secukupnya (Season with salt and white pepper)
*Masak hingga ayam masak, pindahkan ke piring saji (Cook until the chicken is done and put it in the serving plate)
*Peras 1/2 jeruk nipis yang tersisa, aduk rata (Squeeze the rest 1/2 of lime, mix well)
*Sajikan (Serve)

Resep Tumis Buncis Wortel dan Daging Olahan / French Bean and Carrot Stir Fry with Luncheon Meat Recipe

For a person who declared herself as a carnivore, I rarely eat vegetables. Yea, yea, I know. Not healthy. blahblah. But seriously, I don't really like vegetables. But when I do, I will want to eat it very often.


Basically I like vegetables without big leaves. No, I'm not a big fan of Kailan (Chinese Broccoli), and yes, I love french bean. And cauliflower, and broccoli, and carrot, etc, etc. Nevertheless, I know and have cooked some recipes of other vegetables that I don't really like. I will put it here sometimes.


For today, I will let you enjoy my Super Easy recipe of French Bean and Carrot Stir-Fry with Luncheon Meat. Enjoy Cooking.

Tumis Buncis Wortel dan Daging Olahan
French Beans and Carrot Stir-Fry with Luncheon Meat

Bahan (Ingredients) :
#100 gr Buncis (100 gr French Beans)
#1 wortel besar (1 big carrot)
#1/4 kaleng daging olahan (1/4 can of luncheon meat)
#1 siung besar bawang putih, rajang (1 clove of garlic, chopped)
#2 sendok makan minyak goreng untuk menumis (2 tbsp oil for stir-frying)
#1 sendok makan gula (1 tbsp sugar)
#Garam secukupnya (Salt, to taste)
#Air secukupnya


Cara Membuat (Directions) :
* Bersihkan buncis dan wortel. Potong ujung-ujung buncis serta kupas dan cuci bersih wortel. (Wash the french beans and carrot. Cut the tips of french beans and peel the carrot)
* Iris-iris tipis buncis dengan irisan miring, sisihkan (Thinly slice the french beans diagonally, put aside)
* Potong wortel menjadi 2 atau 3 bagian, tergantung panjang wortel, dan iris tipis selebar 1 cm (Cut carrot into 2 or 3 pieces, depends on the length of the carrot, thinly slice 1 cm in width)
* Potong dadu daging olahan, 1cm x 1cm (Cut luncheon meat into dice shape, 1cm x 1cm)
* Panaskan minyak (Heat the oil)
* Tumis bawang putih hingga harum (Sautee the garlic until the fragrance comes out)
* Masukan wortel, tumis sebentar (Add carrot slices, stir-fry for a while)
* Siram dengan sedikit air, tutup dan masak hingga wortel hampir lunak (Add a dash of water, close the pan with lid, and cook until the carrot almost cook)
* Buka tutupnya, masak hingga air mengering, masukkan buncis (Open the lid, cook until the liquid evaporated, add french bean)
* Tumis hingga wortel dan buncis masak (Stir-fry until the carrot and french bean is soft enough)
* Masukkan daging olahan, tumis hingga masak (Add luncheon meat, stir-fry until it's cooked)
* Masukkan gula dan garam. Tambahkan garam bila diperlukan (Add sugar and salt. Add more salt if needed)
* Sajikan (Serve)


Tips :
* Daging olahan bisa diganti dengan apa saja. Penulis merekomendasikan sosis. (Luncheon meat can be substituted with anything. the Writer recommends sausage)

Resep Terong Goreng Tepung / Fried Eggplants Recipe

Here's the first recipe! My favorite dish, as is it easy to make, and yumm!!

TERONG GORENG TEPUNG (Fried Eggplants)

Bahan (Ingredients) :

#1 buah terong besar (1 big Eggplant)
#tepung bumbu siap pakai (Spiced Flour)
#1 butir telur, kocok (1 pc Egg, beaten)
#minyak untuk menggoreng (Oil for frying)

Cara membuat (Directions) :

* iris-iris terong kira-kira 1/2 - 1 cm lebarnya. (Slice the eggplant, about 1/2 - 1 cm in width)
* siapkan telur dan tepung bumbu. (Prepare the egg and Spiced Flour)
* celupkan irisan terong ke telur yang sudah dikocok, lalu balurkan tepung. ulangi sebanyak 2 kali jika ingin hasil lebih garing. (Dip the sliced eggplants to the beaten egg one by one, then cover it with flour evenly. repeat it twice if you want more crispy result)
* goreng dalam minyak yang sudah dipanaskan hingga kecoklatan. Angkat, tiriskan. (Fry in the heated oil until golden brown. Take out, drain well.)

TIPS :
* Jika tidak tersedia tepung bumbu, buatlah tepung bumbu sendiri. Bahannya tepung terigu, garam, dan merica. aduk rata ketiganya. (If there is no Spiced Flour available, you can make the flour by yourself. The ingredients are flour, salt, and pepper. Mix evenly.)
* Usahakan minyak yang digunakan untuk menggoreng cukup banyak sehingga terong terendam pada saat digoreng. (Make sure the oil for frying is enough so that the eggplants are submerged when fried.)

Hi all!

Well, I made this blog in 2009. Posted 1 recipe, and abandoned the blog nicely. LOL.

I could've said that I don't have time to cook or post the recipes on the blog, which is half true, but the main reason why i abandoned this blog is because I'm too lazy to write and post the recipe I can't decide in which language I should write the blog. (Excuses!)


In the end, I decided, I will write this blog in two languages. Bahasa Indonesia, which is my mother tongue, and English, so that you people can read and try my yummy, mouth-watering recipes.


I will, WILL, try my best to post regularly, and give my best shot to take picture of the dishes I will make before I finish the food.

So people, theCookingKuching will start again now, in 2012. This time for real. Check it regularly for simple and fun recipes. Enjoy cooking! :)
